Overview

JOB PURPOSE

To lead the Bank’s Innovation Strategy and initiatives through driving innovation, fostering a culture of creativity, and implementing cutting-edge solutions that align with the bank’s goals. As the Head of Innovation, you will be responsible for identifying new opportunities and developing innovative products and services to remain at the forefront of Industry trends. You will work closely with cross-functional teams in Business and Operations to bring new ideas to life and drive growth.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Be responsible for the overall development and implementation of the Bank’s Innovation.
  • Driving action on innovation plans in collaboration with relevant team members
  • Assessing the competition, maintaining overall market awareness, and identifying opportunities and emerging trends.
  • To lead cross-functional teams to develop and launch new products and services for internal and external clients.
  • Foster a culture of creativity and innovation within the Department and the Bank as a whole.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to the department.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of innovation initiatives.
  • Communicate Innovation’s Department targets and progress management.
  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with external stakeholders.
  • Ensure alignment of Innovation efforts with the overall Bank’s vision; To be a preferred bank driven by Innovative solutions.
  • Drive continuous improvement and learning within the innovation process
  • Driving action on innovation plans in collaboration with relevant team members through Metrics in place to measure innovation success.
  • Promote a customer-centric approach to innovation as the Bank’s mission: Innovative Financial solutions that are customer-centric and stakeholders-driven.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, including supporting the development of intellectual property and patents.
  • Organize and lead innovation workshops and brainstorming sessions with different teams with clearly established processes for generating ideas, creating prototypes, and producing them.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Business, and any other relevant fields; and
  • MBA or any other relevant Master’s
  • Minimum of ten (10) years experience in Corporate or/and SMEs & Retail Banking up to the level of Senior Manager or above
  • Driving action on innovation plans in collaboration with relevant team members

  • Proven track record of driving successful innovation
  • Strong leadership and team management
  • Ability to think strategically and
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

The successful candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of market dynamics, and the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve excellence. You will also be responsible for managing the innovation budget, building strategic partnerships, and ensuring that our innovation efforts are aligned with our overall business strategy.
