The Finance Manager oversees the financial operations of the logistics company, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strategic planning, and effective cost management. This role involves maintaining financial health, optimizing cash flow, managing risk, and supporting key business decisions that drive profitability and efficiency within logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting and Analysis
- Prepare, analyze, and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Monitor and report on key financial performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics specific to logistics, such as cost-per-mile, cost-per-delivery, and fuel efficiency.
- Conduct variance analysis and develop forecasts to support data-driven decision-making.
- Budgeting and Forecasting
- Lead the annual budgeting process, aligning the budget with company goals and logistics-specific targets.
- Conduct periodic reviews and reforecasting to adapt to changes in the logistics market or operational demands.
- Cash Flow Management
- Manage cash flow to ensure adequate working capital for day-to-day logistics operations.
- Implement processes to optimize accounts receivable and payable cycles, particularly with shipping, warehousing, and transport vendors.
- Cost Control and Optimization
- Analyze cost structures in logistics and recommend ways to reduce costs, improve profitability, and increase efficiency.
- Develop strategies for managing fuel costs, fleet maintenance expenses, and operational overheads.
- Compliance and Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations, including tax obligations and financial reporting standards.

Qualifications and Skills:
