The HR Business Partner (HRBP) will play a key role in aligning HR strategies with business objectives for assigned departments within the bank. This individual will provide strategic HR support to business leaders, focusing on workforce planning, performance management, employee relations, and talent development to foster a high-performance culture and drive business success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Partnership
- Collaborate with business leaders to understand the goals and challenges of the bank and ensure HR initiatives align with these objectives.
- Provide insights on organizational design, talent needs, and workforce planning.
- Act as a trusted advisor to managers and leaders, guiding them on HR best practices and employee management.
- Talent Management and Development
- Identify high-potential employees and support development programs to ensure a strong leadership pipeline.
- Facilitate succession planning and career development discussions for key roles.
- Partner with Learning and Development teams to create training programs that support business needs and employee growth.
- Performance Management
- Oversee the performance management process to ensure alignment with bank objectives and provide ongoing support to managers.
- Coach managers on setting clear objectives, delivering feedback, and handling performance-related issues.
- Assist in identifying performance gaps and developing improvement plans where necessary.
- Employee Relations
- Manage employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and investigations.
- Ensure fair and consistent handling of grievances, complaints, and any legal concerns in line with labor laws and bank policies.
- Promote an inclusive, diverse, and positive work environment that aligns with the bank’s culture and values.
- Compensation and Benefits
- Support compensation reviews and ensure market competitiveness within assigned departments.
- Work closely with the Compensation and Benefits team to manage reward and recognition programs.
- Provide guidance to managers and employees on compensation policies and practices.
- Change Management
- Lead and manage change initiatives to ensure smooth transitions within the bank.
- Support employees through organizational changes by promoting clear communication, providing guidance, and addressing concerns.
- HR Analytics and Reporting
- Use HR data and analytics to provide insights into workforce trends, turnover rates, and other key metrics.
- Prepare regular reports on HR metrics to inform strategic decision-making.
- Ensure data accuracy and compliance with HR policies and regulations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A master’s degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM, CIPD) is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience as an HR Business Partner, ideally within the financial services or banking industry.
- Strong understanding of HR policies, labor laws, and best practices within the banking sector.
- Proven ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in HR systems and data analytics to support data-driven decision-making.
