Overview

An exciting new career opportunity has arisen for a Sales & Marketing Manager to join a major agricultural machinery company.

This role would suit an experienced Sales & Marketing professional but equally, our client would be interested to hear from highly motivated and enthusiastic graduates looking to progress in a Sales and Marketing career. Good knowledge of agricultural machinery will be an advantage

The role:

You will be responsible for the marketing of company products and services and you will be required to develop an annual marketing plan in conjunction with the sales department and to deliver all marketing activity within an agreed budget. Time will also be spent conducting market research to identify market requirements for current and future products.

The successful candidate will be required to develop and implement a company-wide plan to push the product, working with all departments for its execution:

Responsibilities

  • Oversee retail sales and promotion of products and relationship building
  • Conduct sales calls and presentations
  • Make recommendations to customers
  • Monitor competitive activities
  • Implement marketing tools and maintain public relations through customer education and promotion of new products and services
  • Develop sales territory for future growth
  • Manage inventory of new and used equipment and parts
  • Maintain relationships within dealer guidelines and provide after-sales product follow-ups as well as support equipment operations as needed
  • Attend industry tradeshows and events to represent products and communicate with customers in-person
  • Coordinate with billing or accounting staff to ensure accurate invoicing
  • Monitor market conditions and changes

Candidate requirements:

  • Ideally educated to Degree in a relevant subject, i.e. Agricultural Business Management or Sales and Marketing
  • Good knowledge of agricultural machinery is desirable
