Overview

Job Role

Responsible for optimizing the flow of vehicles, parts, and other materials, overseeing logistics-related matters. Also, optimize inbound logistic networks to reduce transportation and inventory costs. Work with many different
stakeholders to ensure timely/cost-efficient vehicles and material movement throughout the organization and to clients.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assess and make recommendations for logistics processes in potential new facilities or plants and advise of cost implications and efficiency
  • Create and implement best practice logistics principles, policies, and processes across the organization to improve operational and financial performance
  • Deliver solutions to logistics problems while maintaining high levels of quality and service within budgetary requirements
  • Ensure carrier compliance with company policies or procedures for product transit or delivery
  • Follow up and track the sea freight vehicles. Telex clearance
  • Liaison with Manufacturers for vehicles available in addition to Liaison with government authorities and offices ( Revenue Authority, Bureau of Standards, Ports Authority)
  • Local logistics – getting the vehicle from bond, deliveries to customers within the country
  • Negotiate rates and contracts with transportation and logistics providers, and monitor quality, quantity, delivery times, and transport costs
  • Plan, manage and evaluate logistics operations liaising with internal stakeholders, suppliers, logistics providers, transportation companies, and customers
  • Recommend optimal transport modes and routes, select carriers/suppliers, and monitor service against performance criteria
  • Resolve problems concerning transportation, logistics systems, imports or exports, or customer issues
  • Review the impact of logistics changes, such as routing, shipping modes, product volumes, or carriers, and report results to others
  • Stock management in SAP – Material Creation, stock ordering, stock intake in the system, making vehicles available in the system for invoicing
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and identify inefficiencies and cost optimization opportunities

    Education

    Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain or Materials Management

Required Qualifications & Skills

Minimum Experience:

7-10 years of experience in a similar position.
Previous experience using the SAP logistic module is preferable
