Overview

Part (A): Position Summary

The job entails implementing approved HR policies and procedures for designated categories of staff.  The job holder applies acquired and learned conventional skills to maintain sound and harmonious industrial relations in order to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and proper utilization of human resources to meet our client’s business objectives.

 

Part (B): Main Responsibilities

  • Facilitates and processes staff recruitment.
  • Work closely with all business leaders to determine strategic hiring needs and ensure that the operations align with the strategic requirements.
  • Oversee the hiring budget and participate with management in preparing staffing budgets, manpower projections, employment policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Implement approved employee rewards and recognition schemes as per Company Policy.
  • Advises management and staff on key employee relations activities.
  • Investigates reported offenses and grievances, recommend corrective appropriate disciplinary action, and write letters for HODs’ signature.
  • Maintains close liaison with HODs in maintaining employee relations to ensure high morale and discipline.
  • Develops amicable working relationships with employees, counsels and guides them on personal and work-related issues.
  • Keeps track record and advises management on development and changes in Labour Laws, best industrial practices, and any other statutory requirements that impact the business.
  • Keep up-to-date records on staff exits, promotions, transfers, and all other staffing changes.
  • Manage employee exits to ensure that all leavers complete the clearance process and are taken through the exit interview before final payments are made.
  • Any other job assigned by the supervisor/management.

Part (D): Qualifications & Experience

  • Academic: BA (Hons) / BSc in HR Management, Business Management Social Sciences, or any other related field from an accredited institution.
  • Professional: Professional Qualification and or Post Graduate Degree in relevant fields e.g., Industrial Relations, Mediation, Arbitration, Organizational Psychology.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of working experience in a busy working environment.
  • Having worked in a Logistics or Clearing and Forwarding industry is an added advantage.
  • Conversant in Ms. Office (Office365).
  • ERP knowledge is an added advantage.
