Overview

On behalf of our client in industrial chemical field we looking to recruit a Business Development Manager within the Agchem sector for a successful and growing business in Tanzania. This key role will be to grow and develop the Agchem business area to increase turnover in this core business unit. Key tasks will include working alongside Business Units and Key Account Managers to develop the potential as well as looking at routes to market. The ideal candidate will be commercially astute, with demonstrable experience within a relevant arable/crop inputs business.

Job Description :

  •  Deliver against business and pipeline goals while prioritizing outstanding customer service
  • Contribute to East Africa strategy in generating, developing, and realizing business growth opportunities
  • Create strong business relationships with new business accounts
  • Explore and understand complex customer requirements on both a business and technical level to drive deeper adoption of the Company’s product suite
  • Business development for the crop protection Market
  • Handling key accounts in the Agrochemical segment
  • To fulfill the customer requirement regarding the product formulation.
  • Strategizing the long term & short term business directions to ensure maximum
  • Profitability in line with organizational objectives.
  • Driving sales strategies for attainment of periodical targets to optimize revenue from existing customers & new development.
  • Develop new customer & business opportunities.
  • Product application training to customers.
  • Forecast on short terms and long terms basis in the region.
  • Relationship building with decision-makers and key buyers in pre-sales negotiation
  • Constantly review sector focus to ensure productive ing and new business efforts
  • Analyse data trends, prepare and conduct presentations, and drive effective communications through phone, face-to-face, and video conference
  • Maintain operational excellence for information on market activity and budgetary forecasting

Qualification and Experience:

  •  BE /BSc Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Material Science, Agricultural, and/or Horticulturalist with 5+ years of experience in Agro Chemicals (Pesticides) relevant industry
  • Experience in East Africa Market
  • Knowledge in Agro chemical-related solvent, surfactants products, pesticide or fertilizer formulations from international or domestic suppliers or distributors will be advantageous.
  • Experience in commercial, marketing, or technical service roles is preferred
  • Proficient with MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint.
  • Ability to understand customer needs and identify market trends. A collaborative, solutions-orientated approach, strong communication skills, and negotiation skills.
  • Highly refined product demonstration skills and the collation of prospect feedback from technical and service perspectives
  • Handle the entire sales process
